I have spent over 25 years in the electronics/computer industry, mostly in sales roles with Manufacturers Representatives selling semiconductors to computer manufacturers such as Hewlett Packard and Intel. I have generally performed a technical function working with hardware and software engineers rather than a sales function. Because of this I have had extensive hands on training (hardware and software) with Windows based PCs and have handled the MIS and Network Administrator function with most of the companies I have worked for.
I moved to Arizona from Utah in 2002 and started my own computer repair business here as I saw a huge need for people who needed computer assistance in their home. I also work with many small business home-based clients which include Real Estate Agents and Travel Agents. I have many business accounts, however my preference is in assisting residential clients with their computer needs. This alleviates the need for them to have to take their computer somewhere for repair and to be without it for a significant amount of time.
Although I don't specialize in tutoring, as I am busy with repair and installations, I do give instruction with the installation of a new computer and new applications that may be used. I also stop by for free after the first week to answer any questions. I am sensitive to the frustrations many have with technology and am patient when it comes to answering questions. I have taught classes for the Saddlebrooke Computer Club.
Why do I choose to work alone?? To be honest...I just don't trust anyone else to do what I do or know my customers like I do. If I ever need to hire someone else, I am too busy!! I wouldn't feel good about not knowing exactly what is going on with a specific client.
